Code of Ethics

Communication and Code of Ethics for Tag Share Members

Purpose

A document outlining the responsibility of users for the TAGShare, VisionHelp and ABMHelp forums.

General

TAG operates a number of on-line forums for the benefit of businesses who sell and support various products that are of interest to TAG members.

For each forum TAG recognizes the plurality of its uses and users of information technologies, services, systems and products and the diversity of the goals or objectives. These may sometimes conflict among vendors, producers, mediators, and users of information systems.

These are communities. So, when you post, we encourage you to tell your fellow community members a little about who you are - not just an e-mail address, but a bit of a bio. It enriches the discussion to know who's "behind the post."

Forum discussions are well-monitored and the golden rule is that if you would not say it to a friend in a polite face-to-face conversation, it shouldn't be written in the forums.

The forums mandate high standards for their members.  The following are points  of responsibility that must be adhered to:

  • Do not use these forums for any blatant commercial purpose - no solicitation of funds, no advertising, and no solicitation for goods or services.

  • Do not post anything illegal or injurious (including libellous, defamatory, or abusive statements, obscenity, profanity, or pornography).

  • Do not post off-topic. The forum are not moderated but users who continually post off-topic may be removed.

  • Do not link, in any post, to pages elsewhere on the Web that violate either these rules or their spirit.

  • Do not post Spam.

  • It's your neighbourhood, too! Let us or your fellow posters know if you feel things are getting off-topic or inappropriate.

Violators may be warned, suspended from posting, or barred from the forums, at the sole discretion of TAG.
